1971 Volvo 142 Vintage Race Car
Asking $12,000
History:
It was built on a near perfect body car with racing parts from a multi-championship winning SCCA ITB car, over the course of several years. Life changes (all good) force me to part with it before I had the chance to race it. Below are some of the highlights of the car.
It has an SCCA log book issued in 2024 and current annual tech but has never been on the track.
NY state transferable registration in my name.
Engine:
B20E engine with 30-over pistons and ITB prepared head. Both were professionally rebuilt in 2015 with approximately 5 hours running on the street since.
Twin Weber DCOE 45 carburetors.
BHP headers with full 2.5” exhaust.
Oil cooler and remote oil filter.
Baffled oil pan.
Steel timing gears.
The engine starts and runs but is configured for the street. It will need tuning for maximum performance on the track.
Tranny:
Stock M41 transmission.
Trutrack limited slip differential.
Suspension:
ITB springs.
Bilstein shock absorbers.
BHP sway bars.
Safety:
Welded roll cage.
Fire system.
Fuel Safe fuel cell.
Current harness.
Body:
Straight and totally rust-free.
Body chrome removed and holes professionally filled with metal. It was painted a few years ago but has picked up some minor chips and scratches from moving around in the shop.
The paint has cracks in the front fenders.
